Eva always found jobs in every place they lived, she went back to nursing, was a care worker at a nursing home, assistant bursar at Cartrefle College in Wrexham, was responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of 2 hospitals in North Wales.  She went to Bangor University and gained her City and Guilds in Hotel Management and went on to teach Hotel management at Llandrillo College.  After moving to the Wirral she taught Management and Business Administration at Carlett Park.

They were fortunate enough to retire in their mid fifties and enjoyed extended holidays caravanning in France, staying in Spain and later on living in Florida for 6 months every year near Graham.  But where ever they were they always missed the rest of the family.
